There are a lot of factors that we take into consideration when building your photography timeline. How many locations are there? How far apart are they? How many people are in the bridal party? How many kids? How big is the family? What small captures do you want prompted (bridesmaid first looks, champagne pop, etc)?
Those are just the tip of the iceberg and that's only for photography & videography services! Can you believe if you were crafting a timeline for ALL vendors? It's a lot (shameless plug urging you to hire a professional planner) and heavily depends on the not just the couple but the service provider.
I know that's not the answer you want as you're searching Google for answers on how long to allow your photographer for capturing your day but it's the truth. With that being said, below is how long Hoppe Images usually allotts for the most wedding days. Don't worry, we'll meet as your wedding approaches to discuss your particular day!

Each component will heavily depend on your photographer and their workflow, the couple and their expectations, and the punctuality of everyone from parents to vendors. Though we always include a custom timeline in our wedding packages, we will always collaborate with your wedding planner on the photography timeline to 1. Ensure the timeline will allow us to meet deliverables and 2. Ensure you don't have to be the "middle man" between us and your planner (after all, the entire point of hiring one is so you don't have to think about anything but your partner anyway!!
