As fall approaches in South Louisiana—where the weather's still warm, but pumpkin spice is back—I’m reminiscing about Ally and Liz’s wedding at The Chicory in New Orleans last November 11. As a Baton Rouge wedding photographer, it was a joy to capture their special day in such an iconic setting.
Their day began at the Renaissance Art Hotel, filled with laughter and excitement as they got ready with their closest friends. Though the skies were overcast, it only added to the intimate atmosphere as they exchanged vows in one of their favorite cities. Surrounded by family and friends, their ceremony was a celebration of love and adventure.
The reception that followed was pure joy, with a packed dance floor and an upbeat band that kept everyone dancing. A standout moment was their solo last dance, where they took a final look around, soaking in the magic of the day. When it was time to leave, their guests lined the sidewalk, waving LED wands as the newlyweds made their glowing exit.
As a Baton Rouge wedding photographer, it’s always a pleasure to work in nearby New Orleans, especially for couples like Ally and Liz, whose love story continues to inspire. As their first anniversary approaches, I’m reminded of the love that filled the air that day—a love that continues to flourish. Here’s to many more years of happiness for Ally and Liz. Happy anniversary! 💍
